The ATI TEAS has become a standardized test used by many nursing and allied health schools to determine whether applicants are appropriately academically prepared for their programs. It focuses on four main areas: reading, math, science, and English and language usage.
What is on the ATI TEAS?
The ATI TEAS details breaks down into:
- Reading: 45 questions, key ideas, craft and structure, etc.
- Mathematics: 38 questions, on algebra, numbers, measurement, amongst others.
- Science: 50 items anatomy, biology, chemistry, etc.
- English & Language Usage: 37 questions, grammar, vocabulary, etc.
You’ll have a total of 209 minutes to complete 170 questions, which leaves just over a minute per question, so time management is the key. Many students reported the most challenging parts were in the science and math sections, including new question types in the math section such as fill-in-the-blank and graphics related to anatomy.
What’s Changed for 2024 ATI TEAS?
Compared to previous versions, biology and chemistry have more emphasis on TEAS 7, whereas the anatomy & physiology questions have been reduced. More grammar-focused questions are included in the English section.
